What about Cookies?
A 'cookie' is a small piece of information sent by a web server,
through a web browser, and deposited on a client's computer.
This information is then read back into the browser by a web page at
a time relevant to its use. In this web site, this is how information
is passed from page to page.
This system requires the use of cookies in order to operate
smoothly. Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.02 and Netscape 3.04 will automatically accept
these cookies, however Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0+ and Netscape 4.05+ have an option to
turn these off.
To enable
cookies in Netscape
Choose Edit | Preferences... from the browser menu. Then
click the word 'Advanced' in the Category outline. At the
right will appear a section labeled Cookies. Click 'Accept all
cookies.' Click 'Ok' to close the window and apply your
changes.
To enable cookies in Internet Explorer
Choose Tools | Internet Options... from the browser menu. A
tabbed dialog box will pop up. Click the Security tab
and choose the zone as Internet and click on the custom level to view security settings for the Internet.
Scroll down to the 'Cookies' section and enable "Allow cookies that are stored on your computer" and also enable "Allow per session cookies". Click
'Ok' for the security settings and you should click on the 'Apply' and then click 'Ok' to the Internet Options dialog box.
Please make any necessary changes to your browser and then close the
browser and restart the browser to return to the site.
